Some time ago we did a little Behind the Product article to a Grateful Dead Lithuania T-Shirt we had in stock. The collaboration between the rock band Grateful Dead and Lithuania's Men's Basketball team has its origins at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

But of course, what first comes to mind when talking about the 1992 Olympics is the US Dream Team, with its star-studded roster. With players like Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, John Stockton or Karl Malone, the US Men's Team was the clear favorite from the start. As such, their goal was of course to win a gold medal, which they ultimately succeeded in doing! During the tournament, the US team would not lose a single game - winning against Angola, Croatia, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Puerto Rico und Lithuania. Each of the games the US won by at least 30 points, which only further underlined their dominance.

The Nutmeg Mills Dream Team T-Shirt we currently have in stock is a celebration of this accomplishment! It even features 12 stars - one for each player with their respective jersey number.
