MWCB - Shaq x Reebok 1993
This commercial is arguably the most star-studded Reebok spot in the brand’s history. Featuring appearances from Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Bill Walton. As ‘The Diesel’ tries to impress the game’s legends in his very first signature shoe – the OG Shaq Attaq Pump – this clip is one for the ages.
1992: From the Human Highlight Film to Dee Brown recently winning the NBA Dunk Contest with the longest Reebok Pump commercial of all time, Reebok established itself as home for the league’s best dunkers.

So, when Nike wasn’t prepared to give rookie Shaq a signature shoe, Reebok offered the future Rookie of the Year a deal he couldn’t refuse, then called on some of the best centers of all time to introduce Shaq as the next big thing during Super Bowl 1993.
Shaq took ownership of many things in his partnership with Reebok. He even directed all of the commercials himself.
We all know he spent several years routinely shattering backboards.
So, destroying the backboard? Yes. But don’t ask Shaq to make a free throw – even if it is in a parallel universe.
